Membership Events

Dates of meetings and member’s days:

Members’ Sundays are on the 2nd Sunday of each month from April to October. New Years Day is our annual members-only day outside of the usual running season. Bring your models to run, or come to ride, or come to learn new skills including guarding and loco driving.

The “Tuesday Gang”
Meet each week throughout the year at the track from 9.30 to midday. Jobs include mowing, litter picking and track clearance, building, loco and stock maintenance and painting. Come along if you want to get out, get some air and make a difference.

WORKSHOPS NEW VENUE
Is now at Plympton Academy, Moorland Rd, Plympton, Plymouth PL7 2RS
Starting from February from 6.30 to 8.30. Fees £7 per evening or £3 for juniors.
This was suspended last Autumn due to safety concerns. These are being resolved and so we should start there again in February 2026. If not, the club house will be open on Thursday evenings until the situation is resolved.

Provisional dates are:

February 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th   (4 weeks)
March 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th    (4 weeks)
April 16th, 23rd and 30th      (3 weeks)
May 7th, 21st and 28th      (3 weeks – note that this avoids a conflict on the week of the 14th)
June 4th, 11th, 18th and 25th     (4 weeks)
July 2nd and 9th    (2 weeks)
And then after the summer holidays:
Sept 10th, 17th and  24th      (3 weeks)
Oct 1st and 8th                  (2 weeks)
Nov  5th, 12th, 19th and 26th     (4 weeks)
Dec 3rd        (1 week)

WINTER MAINTENANCE

This happens on most weekends when weather permits during the winter to renew track, service locos and stock and drink tea and eat biscuits.

New Year’s Day. Special members’ day, plus running. Tea, coffee, maybe mulled wine and mince pies, and of course, good company!
